the sun's thermal energy is from star formation, collected kinetic energy of collide atoms.

atoms of the sun bound by gravity and vibrate under thermal energy/atoms momentum in the system.

the rest of atoms/masses in the space/universe are connected with atoms on the sun with gravity, therefore sense the vibration force of the hot atom on the sun, energy/force strength decay at 1/rr.

there is no energy missing in space, all vibrating gravitational forces are shared by all masses, according to mass and distance. that is energy conservation.

the sun is not emitting photons/energy to space, but share gravitational radiation with other masses surround it. the sun will never die.

After you understood atom/matter and light/energy, you will know the sun is not a nuclear reactor.

If earth temperature suddenly becomes as hot as the sun, all nuclear fuel will be ignite instantly, am I right?
